Who Are Sisterzz Twisted?

Sisterzz Twisted is the premier drag king troupe in Phoenix. The Sisterzz actually got their start as the Men of the C.I.C. named after their birthplace, Cash Inn Country. It was not long before we transformed our name and our vision to become Sisterzz Twisted. With humble beginnings, we have watched our vision grow, our creativity grow and with all that, the success of every show.

Our performers are not paid performers. Each member volunteers their hard work to make each event successful. Money raised from our performances is donated to outstanding charities such as 1n10 or individuals in the community in need of assistance in their struggle against life threatening diseases.

All this comes together to provide an evening of fun entertainment, and a way for our community to reach out and help someone, or many someones, in their struggle against a terrible disease.

Some of our shows donations take on a more personal note:

May 5, 2006, the Cheese Ball show, raised nearly $5,000 dollars to help a little girl named Katie and her family sustain the costs of many surgeries and medications in an effort to rid her 15 year old body of cancer.

October 28, 2005 proceeds were shared between the Lesbian Health Project, and Cory, a fire fighter who one of our members worked with before he was diagnosed with throat cancer.

On June 17, 2005 a portion of the money raised was given to Maxine, a woman in our community fighting cancer. The last update we received, Maxine was scheduled to receive a bone marrow transplant. We hope to hear an update on her condition soon.
